Each year’s Opportunity Quilt is on display throughout the year, at our general meetings and at any events our guild participates in. Tickets are available at the meetings and whenever the quilt is displayed elsewhere. Drawing is from all purchased tickets, and takes place during the December guild meeting.
Dahlia Delight, 91″ x 91″
This quilt was truly a group effort!
The center is a Dream Big dahlia panel, surrounded by a Drunkard’s Path border.
The guild hosted a workshop for members to help make blocks for the border. Quilting done by guild member Liz Torrence and Kim Hart. Binding by guild member Maria Parkhurst.
A stunning quilt, Foundation Paper Pieced by Genie White. Quilted by Theresa Morales.
In 2022, this quilt was a second place winner in the Quilts By The River show, and was sold during the show.
This quilt looks like a butterfly garden! It’s a combination of piecing and applique, with beautiful quilting details. Rich reds, purples and greens, with green ivy border. Approximately 64″ x 68″.
We have no record of who originally made the top. It was purchased by one of our members at a guild treasure sale, later donated to the guild, and quilted by another member.
UPDATE December 2022: Drawing was held at the December guild meeting, and a lucky guild member was our winner!
