About Our Guild

Meet fellow quilters, learn and
have fun at QACDG events

Founded in 2003, the Quilters of Alachua County Day Guild, Inc. (QACDG) serves the community through donations, education and extensive community outreach. We are a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to preserving the heritage of quilting and related arts for individuals of North Central Florida through education, inspiration and information.

As a member of QACDG, you become part of a warm, friendly community of fabric artists. You’ll enjoy our monthly programs with fun and inspiring presentations and speakers. You can participate in workshops taught by well-known quilters, fiber artists, and talented guild members. We also offer several quilt bee groups and an annual Quilters’ Day Camp.

Highly experienced quilters, newcomers to quilting, traditional needle-workers, machine- or hand-embroiderers, quilting historians or those pushing the limits of fabric art — all will find a place here.

Community Service

Since our founding in 2003, our members have made and donated a variety of items – quilts, tote bags, stuffed animals, pillowcases, medical dolls, and doll quilts. The list grows every year, thanks to our generous members!

Our community service items have been donated to numerous organizations in our area. Guild members are invited to help, and new ideas for reaching into our community are always welcome.
